Who Is Troop 618?

We are a Scout-led troop from Beaverton, Oregon.  Our older Scouts lead our meetings and outings and help the younger Scouts to learn the skills they need for success.  Our adults provide guidance and ensure that the boys’ program follows safety guidelines and the goals of Scouting.

Why should you join Troop 618?

Because we have fun!

But also because as boys advance through our Scouting program, they develop:

  • ·           Self-confidence
  • ·           Self-reliance
  • ·           Teamwork
  • ·           Responsibility
  • ·           Respect for others
  • ·          A great sense of camaraderie with their fellow Scouts.

What does the troop do?

  • ·        Weekly meetings
  • ·        Monthly outings
  • ·        Service to the community

Through our many activities, the boys learn Scouting values while developing their leadership skills.  They also learn simpler life skills, such as cooking, shelter-building, and how to keep their gear organized.
