From May 5th to 7th, troops from around the district gathere at Camporee. On Friday night, scouts worked setting up the campsite, building a gateway, and constructing various camp gadgets using lashings. On Saturday, the patrols participated in various activities such as fire building, knot tying, and archery where they could earn points to compete against other patrols. Everyone had a great time and can’t wait for next year.

Throns/Roses/Buds

Thorns (What we didn’t like)

being underdressed and cold, wet tents, trains at night, stove failure, didn’t get to all stations, shopper didn’t bring breakfast, My patrol didn’t come, leaving St.Andrews at 6:00 (instead of 5:30)

Roses (What we liked)

Warm clothes and dry tent, great food!, friends, sleeping well, stations,placing in the competition, archery and tomahawks, pride for the troop

Buds (what to do better next time)

Camporee at Meriwether, get to all stations, bring better gear,WIN TOP TROOP!
